Multiple Properties

If you are a developer, housing association or local authority, you will be seeking ways to reduce the environmental footprint of your existing residential property portfolios and future developments. This may be driven by a wish to market your properties to the environmentally conscious, or your need to comply with Government targets on carbon emissions or fuel poverty. Recognising these varied needs, PES can recommend and deliver practical solutions that can reduce your properties’ energy and water consumption by more than 75%.

Importantly, at PES we recognise that all housing portfolios are unique, as are the social, economic and environmental contexts in which they are found. As such, the solutions we recommend are carefully tailored to your needs and those of the community, and are based on a bottom-up analysis that clearly accounts for these key factors.

Our work with you will typically follow a four-stage process:

  1. Scoping – meeting with you (and your community) to discuss your needs and rationale for the project or programme.
  2. Survey – visiting properties within your development/portfolio to understand the range of current specifications and potentials. This also includes a detailed interview with you and the properties’ residents to understand the way in which the buildings are used as this is a crucial driver of your properties’ environmental performance.
  3. Analysis – using data from the surveys and interviews, we use our exclusive software to build a comprehensive energy model of your properties through which our recommendations can be derived.
  4. Recommendations – the delivery of a comprehensive report, showing the ‘basket’ of solutions available to you, along with detailed analysis of the projected costs, savings and environmental benefits.

Once the report has been delivered, our sister company, Parity Projects, can offer practical help in implementing your chosen solutions. This could include the procurement of materials and services, and subsequent project management of the build/renovation.
